Candice offers Reiki healing sessions by appointment only. Reiki is an ancient form of energy healing that helps to decrease stress levels, improve quality of life, and promote relaxation, thereby supporting both physical and emotional healing. Research suggests that Reiki, as a complementary wellness therapy, may activate the parasympathetic nervous system to enhance the healing of the mind and body through a relaxation response. A typical Reiki session involves the practitioner using hand positions held either on or near your clothed body to channel Reiki energy.
Make your appointment with Candice today to support your relaxation and healing through her Reiki healing sessions.

Ivy offers Breathwork sessions by appointment only. Breathwork is the intentional use of breathing patterns to influence the nervous system. Gain the benefits of Breathwork, a gentle place to heal, starting with your body and nervous system instead of staying in your thoughts. When used in trauma-informed work, it is not about forcing catharsis or breathing away the pain. It is used as a regulation tool to gently communicate safety to the body so that deeper therapeutic work can happen, lessening the sense of overwhelm. Breathwork is considered a "bottom up" approach to start with the body and nervous system, rather than with thoughts or insight alone.
Even when we understand the trauma, our body can continue to respond as though the threat is still there resulting in hypervigilance, shut down, chronic anxiety, emotional reactivity, and difficulty resting. Breathwork can help to increase the window of tolerance.
Ivy offers in person Group Sessions as well as individual and couple virtual sessions.

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you are immersed in sound vibrations. According to Karen Bond, PA-C with Cleveland Clinic, “The idea is that these vibrations are at specific tones and frequencies and have the ability to heal your body,”.
Sound has been used for hundreds of years in different cultures as a way to find balance and healing. Traditional Chinese Medicine holds that energy flows through the body and when this energy is off balance, things go wrong with our bodies. When we reset the flow of energy or power through our bodies, then we can support healing in our bodies.
At a sound bath, you will be lying down (or sitting), listening to the sounds around you. You will have the opportunity to truly relax, noticing your body and the experience of the vibrations in the room. You may experience feelings, some may be heightened, and others may be relaxed. Each person responds to the sounds and vibrations differently. You will be directed towards some mindful practices before and after the bowls, to focus on the impact of the experience on your body, and to help you relax.
Health benefits of music have been studied for a long time. Music is a "safe" and "inexpensive" supplemental therapy that helps with pain control according to a 2014 systematic review of research studies. There is not a significant amount of research into the benefits of sound baths although eastern cultures have been doing them for many years. There was a review of four peer-reviewed studies showing health benefits after playing or listening to signing bowls (including one study involving people living with metastatic breast cancer and another with chronic spinal pain). Further research is needed in this area.
After a sound bath, you may experience:
A sound bath is NOT a replacement for medical treatments. It can be considered as a complementary treatment to support your medical and mental health care similar to meditation, yoga, tai chi, chi gong and reiki.
If you've never been to a sound bath before, there are some things that you can do to make your experience more relaxing for everyone.
Every sound bath is different. A sound practitioner does go through training to be able to provide the service, similar to that of a yoga instructor.
A sound bath may include:
You can experience a sound bath digitally, however when done in person, your whole body has the chance to experience the vibrations.
Each person responds differently to a sound experience. Some people may feel tired; some may feel energized. It really depends on the person and their individual experience of the event.
To minimize any feelings of fatigue, it is suggested that you drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods and get a good night's sleep if you can.
If you are receiving support for a mental health condition, please check with your provider prior to attending the sound bath as it can be an emotional experience for some.
When allowing yourself to connect with your body more fully, you may experience difficult feelings, and this may be an uncomfortable experience.

Breathwork is a more common tool for treating trauma, addiction, depression and anxiety, especially when paired with mental health therapies. Breathing exercises and techniques can support you in creating a sense of calm and self-awareness.
You will get comfortable lying down. Your provider will walk you through combinations of different types of breathing. You may experience an emotional or physical response (pleasant or unpleasant) to the breathing exercises. Allow the process to do it's job, and focus on your breath.
This 2017 study explored diaphragmatic breathing as a method of rehabilitation for those experiencing low back pain. The results proved breathing exercises are effective in improving lung health, back pain, and quality of life.
A 2018 study from Consciousness and Cognition on the impacts of movement-focused yoga and breath-focused yoga on stress levels. While both helped to reduce stress, breath-focused yoga, or Pranayama, was the only one that helped participants remove their attention from the stressor(s).
This 2017 study from The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine explored the effects of Pranayama and breathwork on depressive mood. The results indicated that Pranayama is effective in significantly reducing symptoms of depression in participants.
A 2005 study from AHA Journals that provides detailed context on how slow breathing impacts blood pressure and cardiovascular functions. The results of the study proved that breathing exercises could be used to reduce blood pressure in those dealing with hypertension.
A 2020 study from Yale University that explored the impacts of multiple wellness activities on the mental health of participants. The group of students that received the yoga, breathwork, and Pranayama sessions showed significant improvement when it came to depression, stress, overall mental health, mindfulness, and social connections.
